Betek Boya Kimya ve Sanayi A.Ş., incorporated in 1988, developed high quality products in the fields of concrete admixtures, ready-to-use grouts, and waterproofing materials needed by the construction materials market during its very first years in the industry. Thanks to the high demand created by effective sales and marketing strategies, the company grew at a furious pace. Betek set off on a quest for new markets with the experience and strength gained in the construction materials field, and has since added construction paints to its product range. In 1993, Betek Boya Kimya ve Sanayi A.Ş. stepped into the decorative paints industry by entering into technological cooperation with DAW, the largest decorative paint manufacturer in Europe . The collaboration of these 2 companies turned out to be a milestone for Betek as well as the Turkish paint industry; the Filli Boya brand brought the European paint technologies to Turkish consumers. Being the first Turkish paint company that is engaged in production in cooperation with a European partner, Betek was also the first company in the sector to make a foreign partnership.
Directing consumer demand by employing state-of-the-art production technologies and gaining the moniker of 'a leading and innovative brand for quality production' with its pioneering products in the paint industry, Betek became the most powerful company in the paint industry within a short period of time and in a way that is seen as exemplary, and later took the lead as of 2001. Betek, believing in the significance of brand investment, invested in this direction in a sustainable manner throughout its journey to become the industry leader and created the Filli Boya brand which has won our customers' hearts. With almost 1,300 employees and over 5,000 points of sale, Betek has left its mark on the industry and advanced to a substantial position among the most important industrial enterprises in Turkey. The year 2003 was a cornerstone within the course of development of Betek Boya Kimya ve Sanayi A.Ş.
On this date, Betek started its activities in the thermal insulation field and committed itself to becoming the leader, considering its efforts in the insulation field that it sees as a social responsibility project.Adopting the international environmental protection and health criteria, Betek Boya Kimya ve Sanayi A.Ş. took the first steps regarding this matter in 1993 and has structured its production and R&D processes based on EU Paint Standards.Betek has ISO 9001, ISO 10002, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 50001, IATF 16949 management systems certificates.

Having adopted the mission to carry the success it has achieved domestically beyond borders, Betek has a production facility established on an area of 11,000 square meters in Egypt with a paint production capacity of 26,000 tons.
The company has also began to produce all the main products of thermal insulation systems using the latest technology and standards at its Kayseri and Balıkesir Production Facility to fulfill the increasing awareness and demand regarding insulation in Turkey.
In 2019, with the acquisition of Betek by Japan-based Nippon Paint, one of the world's largest paint manufacturers and technology giants, Betek Boya became a global player.
Founded in Tokyo in 1881 by Mr.Moteki Jujiro, Nippon Paint reached a turnover of 628 billion yen in 2018 with approximately 22,000 employees.
